- Our wooden chalkboards are hand-made and therefore won't tolerate quite the same beating of their plastic counterparts. If not in use in a Learning Tower, we recommend attaching the chalkboard to a stable surface for use.

Handmade Wooden Chalkboards

Our handmade wooden chalkboards are perfect for little artists, poets or household haikus! They are purpose made as safety backings over in the Learning Tower department - but can be used anywhere that calls for a black canvas. Available as replacement backings for both single or double Learning Tower sizes. 

 

These chalkboards are lovingly made right here in Australia by the skilled team of workers at Activ Foundation. Each one is cut, routed, sanded and painted with love and care (by hand!) whilst helping to create meaningful employment opportunities for people with varied abilities. 

 

Creating Meaningful Employment

They are made especially for us by the Activ Foundation. Activ are a Perth-based NGO, bridging the gap of purposeful employment for people with disabilities since 1951. They are WA's leading NDIS provider, linking with over 1,800 individuals and families!

These chalkboards are a made and painted by humans not machines so there can be small variations in finish and colour. We think this makes them as unique as the people that will be using them.
